A Dairy-Free Cooking Guide for Beginners

So many allergies and food preferences how do you make everyone happy and still make your signature delicious dishes? Espescially for those vegans and non-dairy eaters. I mean masehpotatoes with out butter and milk is what exactly?


Well look no further here is my ultimate guide to cooking your traditional holiday favorites with a dairy-free and vegan twist that your guest will appreciate and possibly rave about.



Here are some of my fave brands and tips when cooking or grocery shopping to impress your vegan dining guests.


View the alternative from each dairy category and use in place of the regular dairy products in your recipes to create delicious vegan alternatives.


Here's a fun fact everyone loves textures and flavor profiles people dont love ham as much as they love sweet salty crispy and fatty anything. I've had a carrot that tastes just like bacon so I know this is true. With the right seasoning and cooking techniques you can gastronomize any traditional dish into a vegan masterpiece.



 


BUTTER SUBSTITUTES


Buy it from the store Miyokos, Earth Balance



Make butter at home: Combine half olive oil, half coconut oil, a few dashes of almond milk, and a pinch of turmeric or nutritional yeast for color and mold in container in fridge for a few hours


MILK SUBSTITUTES


Buy it from the store ORGANIC ALMOND MILK , ORGANIC COCONUT MILK, ORGANIC OAT MILK, ORGANIC HEMP MILK


Make it at home: Use cashew nuts with water and blend in processor. Strain the liquid mixture with fine mesh cheese cloth into milk carton.
